This ambitious ensemble is made up of around 80 students from all the divisions within the JGU School of Music. In weekly tutti and sectional rehearsals, pieces from all genres are worked on in a professional manner. Individual auditions before being accepted into the choir are just as much part of the high standards maintained as regular choral vocal training and the choir's members' home preparation of the parts.
Usually, a final semester concert is held, which is preceded by a weekend of intensive rehearsals. In its concerts, the choir performs for the public together with teachers and students in the "Concert Exam" course as well as, where required, orchestral formations from the School of Music.
